To help reduce the impact of the cost of living crisis, the Scottish Government brought in special measures to help those who are renting, two of which applied to our own tenants.
These were a temporary pause on evictions, and a rent cap of 3% for mid-market rent (MMR).
Both of these measures expire on 1 April 2024, with it having been written into the legislation at the time that this could not be extended. This means that the pause on carrying out evictions, as well as the 3% cap on mid-market rent will both no longer be in place.
