Learning disabilities

We have a long history in providing flexible, responsive services to people with a learning disability and associated physical support needs…

We support people with learning disabilities in Angus, Dundee, Fife, and Perth and Kinross in their own homes, and in temporary and supported accommodation. We can provide support from 1 hour a week, to 24 hours a day.

We work with people to develop a person-centred service that will respond to their changing needs and wishes. Outcomes are planned to maximise the quality of people’s lives and experiences. We offer support in areas such as:

  • Maintaining a home/tenancy
  • Assistance with the tasks of daily living
  • Personal care
  • Cooking, nutrition and maintaining good health
  • Leisure, education, learning and developing interests
  • Therapeutic work placements and routes to employment
  • Developing and maintaining friendships and personal networks
  • Being involved in community activities and events

Activities Hub

Our Activities Hub gives people with support needs access to a wide range of creative and life enhancing workshops or group activities.

Our Hub truly enhances people’s lives and has helped reduce social exclusion and isolation while promoting access, participation and, above all, positive health and wellbeing.

What activities do we offer?

Since launching in 2016, our Hub has provided many different activities including drama, computing, cooking and arts and crafts.  We support people with learning disabilities, mental health problems, autism and older people.

Our activities are predominantly in Dundee and we have recently expanded into a mobile provision.  This has enabled us to go into individual’s homes, including those with profound multiple learning difficulties and provide activities and events.
