Dickson Avenue brings community together for fundraising success

Hillcrest Futures’ Dickson Avenue Housing with Care service in Dundee recently hosted a successful fundraising event, bringing tenants, families and staff together for an enjoyable afternoon.

On Saturday 23 May, the service held a pop-up shop where attendees could browse and buy clothes for just £1. Alongside this, there was a cake stall, a raffle and light refreshments, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved.

Supported individuals were joined by family members and friends, with many enjoying the chance to spend time together and take part in the activities.

Thanks to the generosity of tenants, families, friends and staff, the event raised an impressive £253. The funds will be used to purchase a new TV and DVD player, helping to support future social activities and entertainment within the service.

The event highlights the strong sense of community at Dickson Avenue, with everyone coming together to support improvements that will benefit those who live there.
