Work recently started on a new Hillcrest development of 39 affordable modern apartments in Perth.
The development of quality properties located at Goodlyburn Terrace, not far from Perth Royal Infirmary will help to boost the city’s provision of affordable housing.
The £4.3 million development, consisting of a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments will see a range of modern energy efficiency innovations built in, including high performance insulation and cladding aimed at helping the tenants save money.
Construction of the development started at the end of 2020, with the properties anticipated to be completed in summer 2022. GS Brown Construction Ltd has been contracted to undertake the building of the apartments.
Fiona Morrison, Hillcrest’s deputy chief executive said: “Hillcrest is dedicated to delivering good quality affordable homes and we are delighted to be developing 39 new apartments in a great location.”
“Delivered with funding support from Scottish Government and Perth and Kinross Council, these energy efficient apartments will provide a fantastic boost to Perth’s affordable housing provision while giving tenants a home they can be proud of.”
