Apprentice Testimonial – Louie Ritchie – Asset Management

Louie is a current apprentice with us here at Hillcrest and is doing His Business Administration qualification, while working with our Asset Management team. Below Louie shares some insights into his time with Hillcrest so far.

What’s your name and what apprenticeship are you undertaking? – My name is Louie Ritchie and I’m currently undertaking my Asset Management Apprenticeship.

What are your interests/Hobbies? – I like to go to the football and spend time with my friends and family.

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship? – I enjoying learning about how the business works and developing skills that I can use during work and out of work.

What has been your favourite memory since starting at hillcrest? – Being surprised in how welcoming everyone was when I first started.

What advice would you give someone thinking about starting an apprenticeship? – Get involved in any opportunity you can and ask plenty questions.

What do you hope to do in the future? – Continue working in a housing association either internally or externally.

How has Hillcrest supported you since starting your apprenticeship? – We have monthly young person’s meetings, and my team always make sure I’m doing ok.

What made you apply for an apprenticeship? – I had a 4-week internship in the summer with hillcrest which I really enjoyed so it made me want to continue with the company.
