This week is Scottish Learning Disability Week, a campaign celebrating the rich contribution people with learning disabilities make to society, as well as working to ensure people receive full and fair access to all their rights.
Each year has a different theme and this year the theme is ‘Digital Inclusion’.
To mark the week, a selection of our learning disability services held a conversation café in The Steeple in Dundee to talk about all things digital. Attendees used conversation cue cards to get the discussion started and completed activity sheets and word searches.
Staff spoke about the importance of staying safe online, offering tips on how to spot scams and check the authenticity information posted.
A buffet lunch was served, and the event finished with a tasty iPad themed cake, baked and decorated by one of the Hillcrest Futures support workers.
