At Hillcrest, we offer valuable work experience opportunities for young people to gain insights into the world of work and explore different career paths. Whether you’re still at school or studying at university or college, we provide placements that give you hands-on experience in a real working environment.

Work experience

We provide week-long work experience to young people in 4th year at school and above who are currently seeking an employment opportunity but not sure which career path they wish to follow. Work experience opens young people’s minds to opportunities available locally. We provide placements in Hillcrest Maintenance where you can get the opportunity to shadow our trades staff. We provide the same opportunity in our Head Office in all different sectors from HR to IT to business administration.

Work placements

Work placements are a longer-term commitment from Hillcrest. We support placements for college and university students, and the duration can be from ten weeks at one day per week, up until six months. This will give you an opportunity to embed your learning in a workplace setting.
