
We are seeking new voluntary board members to join our board where you will play a key role in ensuring that we pursue our ambitions, are true to our values, and meet the expectations of a wide range of stakeholders, including the local authorities we contract with, the Care Inspectorate and our customers. Working collaboratively as a key part of Hillcrest, we are proud of the positive impact we create across our areas of operation.
We are looking for individuals who can share their skills and experience to support the governance and strategic direction of the organisation, who have an understanding of the pressures facing social care providers in the current economic climate and a genuine interest in being involved.
While you don’t need to have previous board-level experience, we would like to hear from people who can support our Leadership Team in delivering our business plan, who are able to form sound and balanced, independent views and who can challenge in a constructive and collegial manner. Our recent skills and diversity audit has highlighted that we would particularly benefit from interest from individuals from a broad demographic and from people with a strong financial background.
We pay out of pocket expenses and provide a thorough induction and developmental training. An annual calendar is in place for all meetings which are held in a hybrid format, however there are occasions when attendance in person is a requirement. The role profile can be found here.
