A Hillcrest team over 50 strong once again donned their purple t-shirts and walking shoes to take on the Dundee Kiltwalk on Sunday 11 August, raising £4,052.50 for the Hillcrest Foundation.
The walkers had the choice of either the Wee Wander – a four-mile route starting in Broughty Ferry, or the formidable Mighty Stride – a 21mile route starting in St Andrews and winding it’s way to Dundee through Leuchars, Tentsmuir and Tayport.
Both routes saw walkers cross the finish line in Slessor Gardens, Dundee.
The 56-strong team encompassed Hillcrest staff, people supported by Hillcrest Futures as well as friends and family.
All funds raised are going to the Hillcrest Foundation, which seeks to improve people’s lives and create positive futures by helping to reduce inequalities, isolation and improve health and wellbeing across Scotland.
The Foundation does this by providing grants to vital charities and community organisations, meaning the money raised will go directly to a range of great causes.
