Modern Apprentices

I’m Ellie and I’m 17.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing an apprenticeship in Customer Service.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

In my free time I like going for coffees and watching sunsets.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

I’m most looking forward to meeting new people and improving my skills and knowledge in the work place.

Amber Gibson

What is your name and age?

My name is Amber and I am 16 years old.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing my apprenticeship in Communications and Marketing.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

In my spare time I enjoy taking my dog Coco on walks on the beach and going to Starbucks.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

At Hillcrest I’m looking forward to meeting new people, and to work and learn at the same time.

Louie Ritchie

What is your name and age?

I’m Louie and I’m 16.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing an Asset Management apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

I’ve just left school at S5 to do this apprenticeship. Things I do outside of work is stuff like going to gigs to see artists I like, and I go to the football every week to watch Dundee United.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

At Hillcrest I’m most looking forward to the opportunity this apprenticeship will give me and how it can set me up for an even better full time job than the apprenticeship which is already very good.

Izzy Campbell

What is your name and age?

My name is Izzy and I’m 17 years old.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing a Modern Apprenticeship in Income Management and Engagement.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

I enjoy dancing, and outside of work I help run a dance company and I teach dance classes there for ages 2-18.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

At Hillcrest I’m looking forward to meeting new people and gaining new skills and experiences.

Poppy Thompson

What is your name and age?

Hi, I’m Poppy and I’m 18.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

My apprenticeship is in Tenant Services.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

In my spare time I like to read and go on walks with my dog Luna.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

I’m most excited to learn how the business works and learn new skills.

Ross Young

What is your name and age?

Hi I’m Ross and I’m 18.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

Housing Officer Modern Apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

I am from Portlethen and enjoy playing and watching football, going out with friends and family and walking my dog. I support Aberdeen and Liverpool. I also enjoy going on holidays, with my favourite one being Thailand.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

The thing I am looking forward to the most at Hillcrest is gaining valuable work experience in a position I am really interested in. I am also looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new things.

Freya Simpson

What is your name and age?

My name is Freya and I’m 17.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I am doing a Housing Advice Assistant Modern Apprenticeship with Hillcrest Enterprises.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

I enjoy reading and just recently passed my driving test.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

 I am looking forward to learning new skills and gaining experience whilst working with a team.

Trade Apprentices

What is your name and age?

I’m Bobby and I’m 19.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I am a 2nd year plumber but have just started with Hillcrest. I am completing a Plumbing Apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, playing golf and watching football.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

I am looking forward to learning the trade and gaining my qualifications.

What is your name and age?

My name is Joey and I am 17.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing a Painting and Decorating apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about you and what you enjoy doing outside of work:

Outside of work I go to watch hockey and football, and play ice hockey and golf.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

I’m looking forward to earning my qualifications and working for such a well-known company.

My name is Jay Burke I am 18 years old.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I’m doing my first year of my plumbing apprenticeship.

Outside work I enjoy the gym, watching the football and meeting up with my pals.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

 I’m looking forward to learning the trade the best I can and meeting all the staff along the way.

I am Jack and I’m 17.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I am a Joiner apprentice.

Outside of work I enjoy playing and watching football. I also enjoy playing golf and tennis.

What type of apprenticeship are you doing?

I am an Electrical apprentice.

Outside of work I enjoy playing football and going out to play darts and pool.

What are you looking forward to most at Hillcrest?

I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can on the job and gaining the skills to be a qualified electrician.
