Hillcrest staff get their thinking caps on for a good cause

Posted: October 3, 2024

A Hillcrest staff quiz night, which was run by a group of the organisation’s young people, has raised over £150 for the Hillcrest Foundation.

A number of staff teams took on the challenge of tackling a range of categories last week, testing their knowledge on everything from general knowledge and sport, through to flags of the world and famous faces.

Hillcrest’s Young People’s Voice group planned the fun evening, which also included a raffle, snacks and refreshments, to raise a total of £150.50 for the Hillcrest Foundation.

The Foundation funds a number of community initiatives aimed at helping people live better lives in the communities we operate in across Scotland.

Each of the organising group of young people took on different important roles to bring the event to life. Aidan Clark and Max Laing researched and created the questions, with Max becoming quiz-master for the night, while Lottie Ireland and Tianah Scott organised the raffle and prizes, and Amber Winton organised the teams and entry fee.

Following the success of this event, the young people have already begun looking into a Christmas quiz, so watch this space for more details to come!
