Hillcrest Maintenance completes first in-house structural project

Posted: September 4, 2025

We’re thrilled to share a major milestone for Hillcrest Maintenance – the successful completion of our first ever in-house structural job!

Led by Operations Supervisor Dean Wilson, the team replaced load-bearing partitions and carried out a full flooring refurbishment in one of our void properties. These works, traditionally subcontracted by Asset Management, were delivered entirely by our skilled trades team at our Loaning Road development in Edinburgh.

Working in close collaboration with a structural engineer, Dean developed a safe system of work and ensured the team was fully briefed and prepared. Structural Acrow props were installed to safely support the building during the alterations, and the project was completed on time and to an exceptional standard.

Gary Denchfield commented: “This was a fantastic challenge for the team, and one they all really enjoyed taking on. There’s a real sense of satisfaction in achieving such a high-quality finish on a job of this scale. It’s a testament to the skill and dedication of everyone involved.

“This achievement marks a significant step forward in Hillcrest Maintenance’s growth, showcasing our expanding capabilities and strengthening collaboration with Asset Management and Development on more complex projects.”
