We have three expert inhouse teams who can provide you with advice and support, without judgement and most importantly, their services are completely free for Hillcrest tenants.
We know that our tenants will sometimes face difficult financial situations like managing other debts, a change in your personal circumstances or struggling with budgeting. However, your rent is a priority bill, and we would encourage you to get in touch if you are worried about paying this each month.
If you find that you are going to be unable to afford your rent, please contact our staff as soon as possible. The Income Management Team will always work with you to make affordable agreements to get your rent account back on track. Discussions with the Income Management Team are confidential and we will give you the best advice possible throughout your tenancy.
Please don’t ignore the problem, its easier to sort it out if you deal with it early.
The Income Management Team will support you from the beginning to the end of your tenancy. They can also assist with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit queries.
We have dedicated Officers who can help you with financial issues affecting your household.
Our Financial Wellbeing Team can help you with all aspects of benefits and provide specialist advice and support to maximise your income, this in turn can make it easier for you to pay your rent. The team will provide advice over the phone, by email, at a home visit, or in a Hillcrest Office.
