Over 250 people supported by Hillcrest Futures got into the festive spirit earlier this week when they attended the charity’s annual winter party night at Dundee’s Apex Hotel.
Attendees were treated to a buffet supper and enjoyed a disco with music supplied by Robert the DJ. Santa Claus and his trusty elf were also in attendance, handing out gifts to the service users, many of whom couldn’t wait to meet Santa and get their photo taken with him.
A photo booth was a new and exciting addition to the party with many people donning hats and specs to get their photos taken. The night ended with a free raffle and a few lucky service users won tickets to a Dundee Stars ice hockey match.
Hillcrest Futures’ area manager Carol Reid was one of those who attended the party. She said: “The Hillcrest Futures party night is the highlight of the social calendar for a lot of the people we support and every year the event just gets bigger and better.
“We all had a brilliant night and I would like to thank everyone involved in organising the event and ensuring it was a big hit.
“Providing social activities is just as important as our day-to-day services, and the disco gives people the opportunity to socialise, have fun, make new friends and catch up with old ones.”
Hillcrest Futures supports communities and people to live happy and fulfilling lives through providing services in the areas of physical and learning disabilities, autism, and older people.
