Hillcrest Futures’ Tullideph, David Street, Martingale and Birkdale services in Dundee have received positive feedback in a recent Care Inspectorate report, which rated the services as ‘Good’ for supporting people’s wellbeing and the quality of their staff team. The inspection, conducted in December, praised the commitment of staff and the positive outcomes achieved for those supported.

The services provide housing support and care at home for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, helping individuals to live independently in their own homes or the wider community. Inspectors highlighted the kindness, motivation and person-centred approach of the staff, noting their efforts to enable independence among those they support.

The report also recognised the broad range of support available, including help with daily living tasks, managing medication, and accessing healthcare and social opportunities. People supported by the services shared that they felt valued and respected, and that their care was delivered in a way that met their individual needs.

John Booth, Director of Hillcrest Futures, said: “We are delighted with the positive feedback in this report. Our staff are truly dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people we support, and this reflects their hard work and compassion.”

Inspectors also praised the effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and ongoing efforts to improve accessibility to care plans. The report acknowledged challenges posed by staff shortages but noted the proactive recruitment drive and the strong teamwork among existing staff.
