Could you be missing out on extra income?

Even if you are working, it’s worth checking to see if you are entitled to Universal Credit (UC). If you are claiming UC, it might also mean you can get help with other costs, such as:

  1. Cost of Living Payment (2022/23): £900
  2. Education maintenance allowance (for children aged 16 to 19 staying in further education
  3. Free school lunches
  4. Free NHS dental treatment
  5. NHS optical vouchers
  6. Individual Learning Accounts
  7. Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) entitlement
  8. Warm house discount
  9. Legal aid

If you are in receipt of Universal Credit and have a child under 16, you will also be eligible for the newly expanded Scottish Child Payment, which is currently £25 per week, per child.

If you receive Tax Credits, please seek expert advice before claiming Universal Credit. To find out more or if you would like to speak to someone about these or any other benefits, please contact our expert team on 0300 123 2640 or email customerservice@hillcrest.org.uk.
