The Airlie Risers team from Gowrie Care’s service at Airlie View in Alyth along with their friends and family have raised a total of £2707.56 for Autism Initiatives Scotland One Stop Shop in Perth.
The gang has raised this money by climbing Ben Nevis in June, and selling raffle tickets in Tesco in July (with Oor Wullie as their mascot).
Airlie Riser, Lynda Murdoch said: “Our hike up The Ben was thoroughly enjoyable despite the rain and fog. The bottle of Champagne made the top a little bit brighter!”
The team has been undertaking the fundraising activities as part of Hillcrest’s 50 Grand to Lend Hand Challenge.
50 Grand to Lend a Hand is part of Hillcrest’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
