Meter Readings

Energy Action Scotland is asking every household in Scotland, to submit accurate electricity and gas meter readings on 31 March.

As the price caps increase by 54% on 1 April, this is one thing that we can all do to ensure that no-one pays more for energy than they should do. Any earlier and people risk paying the higher rate for longer.

Collectively, if we don’t provide up to date meter readings for both gas and electricity Scotland will pay at least an additional £4.5million every single day that our meters are out. Remember that 5% VAT is baked into your bills and you will be paying additional tax, unnecessarily.
