Getting tenants connected

Connecting Scotland is an initiative to help those that struggle with the internet and digital devices to get online. Throughout the pandemic, the internet has helped most of us keep connected with family and friends, but not everyone has the skills, confidence or devices to get online.

Hillcrest successfully secured funding from Connecting Scotland, which meant that we were able to distribute a number of IPads and mobile internet devices to people struggling digitally, with many also isolated from family and friends. One to one support is also being provided by Hillcrest Digital Champions.

The Digital Champions have already helped a number of tenants build their online skills and confidence, with many now happily shopping online, making GP appointments, video calling families and friends and more.
