Hillcrest Energy Advice Team was delighted to scoop a number of accolades at the prestigious Energy Action Scotland Fuel Poverty Hero Awards.
The ceremony, which celebrates those making an impact in the fight against fuel poverty, took place as part of Energy Action Scotland’s conference on 23 and 24 November.
HEAT was thrilled to win three awards:
• Fuel Poverty Hero for Beth McCormick, HEAT Admin Assistant
• Fuel Poverty Highly Commended for Nicola Forbes
• Fuel Poverty Highly Commended for HEAT
These were presented by Gillian Martin MSP, Minister for Energy and the Environment.
The conference marked the 40th anniversary of Energy Action Scotland, and brought experts and policy makers together to discuss how Scotland can meet the needs of the most vulnerable households in reducing fuel poverty.
HEAT also delivered a valuable workshop to participants on their fight against fuel poverty and energy debt, which was well received.
