The Role

We are looking for an experienced corporate service professional to support the governance, quality and performance activities of the Hillcrest Group of companies.

This post is part of the Group Management Team and will support the Director of Corporate Services in ensuring the delivery of key operational objectives including Information Governance, compliance, business continuity, procurement, fleet management and communications and media.

You Will

The Service

 

Based within the Housing Team at South Ward Road, Dundee, you will be responsible for providing a Housing Management Service to our customers.  You will provide support and assistance to the Housing and Customer Service Teams as required. The position would suit candidates with previous experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment.

The Service

Queen Mary Avenue provides 24/7 residential support to 8 female service users, who have a variety of support needs, including mental health and addiction issues.  All service users have previously been homeless or have been threatened with homelessness.

The Job

  • Enable service users to maintain their tenancies and keep their homes safe & secure.
  • Support them with their medication and enable them to live a good quality of life.
  • Support them with personal care (includes intimate personal care, showering, and toileting).
  • Support them with emotional and behaviour needs.
  • Support with shopping, cleaning, dealing with mail, attending appointments, advocacy and liaising with other agencies.
  • Support with mobility

There are various shift patterns between 7am and 10pm seven days a week.  There is a requirement to cover a sleepover. This shift entails sleeping over at the service and being on call for the service user between the hours of 5pm – 9am (an additional payment is made for this).

The Candidate

  • Will be highly motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Will have the ability to respond calmly and effectively in  emergency situations
  • Have a positive attitude to learning and possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to undertake study to achieve this
  • Will keep accurate and detailed recordkeeping systems

Gilmour’s Close is a supported accommodation service for people who are homeless who have complex and multiple needs. The service is based in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh and is one of three Resettlement Teams.

The Job

You will be based in Gilmour’s Close (Mon-Fri) and carry a case load. You will work as part of a team and on your own. You will be working with individuals to help then work on the areas of their lives that they want to change and to assist them to find permanent move on accommodation. You will support individuals to manage a tenancy and to learn/ re-learn skills for managing a tenancy. You will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the people who you are supporting. You will take part in the on call rota and work evenings and weekends as required.

The Candidate

  • You should have a positive flexible attitude along with SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the equivalent qualification.
  • You should have previous experience of working in a health and social care setting
  • You should be highly motivated with excellent communication & organisational skills
  • You will have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis and you will have a flexible approach to the service requirements
