Gowrie Care

Our Promise

When someone receives support from Gowrie Care, they receive a first class service. We put the people we are supporting at the centre of everything we do and tailor support plans to meet their individual needs.

Beyond the housing and support we provide, we have supported people through our Enabling fund, a trust fund administered by our Board. Our service users have had funds to help with training, clothes, holidays, computers and even recording a record.

From 2012, with the assistance of our sister company, Gowrie Housing Trust (renamed Hillcrest Enterprises as of 1st April 2013), we have started a project improvement fund. Groups or projects can apply to the Board for a grant of up to £500 to assist with group activities such as cooking classes, improving their garden spaces or leisure activities. This fund is a direct result of service user involvement when consulting with our service users through our business planning process.

We have offered a range of supported employment places to a number of our service users over the years including a handyman, a gardener and an office assistant.

There are a number of initiatives going on within our projects that go much further than providing basic care. We have therapeutic gardens, cooking classes, music groups, get together clubs and lots more. Our staff work hard using innovation and determination to ensure that service users receive more than basic housing and support.
